The renovation of this iconic 1960’s architecturally designed house
responded to the needs of new owners and their children, transforming the house originally designed for a couple into a family home.
We took special care to retain the integrity of the original design, whilst updating the house for contemporary life.
In altering an historic building, we work on the principle that when you take something away - you should give something back.
We brought in sun, flowing spaces and free access to a new backyard.
The kitchen received special care: no longer a back service room, it is now rightfully the centre of the home.
This is a perfect example of the ability of architecture to change the way we live.
